ETCH REMOVER Marble Polishing Compound

"Simply the best etch remover and marble polish available."
This extremely popular, professional grade yet easy to use, high quality Marble Polishing Compound is just what the doctor ordered for removing the majority of “water stains” (etching) and light scratches to restore the polish to most marble, travertine, alabaster (marble-onyx), onyx and polished limestone not by coating, but by abrasion and friction (like polishing a gemstone) as it was originally done in the factory.

Fred Hueston, PhD, renowned stone and tile expert, prolific author on stone and tile matters, and Chief Technical Director at www.StoneandTilePROs.com says, "The single most frequent question we get at stoneandtilepros.com is 'How do I remove etching?' Well, kind of. More often than not, homeowners may not refer to it as 'etching' but will mistakenly call etch marks, 'water marks,' 'water rings,' or simply 'dull spots.' But the bottom line is what they're dealing with is etching caused from some acidic liquid (too often cleaning products that should never touch marble or travertine).

"My answer is always the same: if it's a minor etching on a polished marble, travertine, etc., that is it's not so rough you can feel it with your fingertips, or if it's not a very large area, use a good quality etch remover / marble polish to restore the finish yourself. Majestic ETCH REMOVER and Marble Polish is simply the best etch remover and marble polish available on the market. If it does turn out that the etch is too severe and you do have to contact a PRO you haven't invested much and you can always keep it handy to polish out any minor etching that does occur. It's a great product to keep handy if you have polished marble."

This product is available in individual 8oz containers or in a case (12) of 8oz containers.

Label Information:
Majestic ETCH REMOVER Marble Polishing Compound is a special blend of polishing compounds formulated to remove etching from polished marble, travertine and limestone. Marble can be polished with ease without the use of special tools. Product does not expire. In the event of product settling/drying just add water and mix until paste consistency is restored.
Caution: Not for use with granite. Always test a spot first. For deep etches and scratches professional stone restoration may be needed.
Directions:
1. Wear rubber gloves and make sure not to get paste on adjacent surfaces.
2. Clean area to be polished with a good stone cleaner.
3. Working one area at a time no bigger than one square foot, apply a small amount (about one teaspoon) of paste to dull area.
4. Use a white terry cloth or a white polishing pad and work the mixture in a circular motion.
5. Add water as necessary to maintain a wet slurry. Remove slurry with a clean cloth and check to see if polish is restored. Repeat as necessary.
TIP Some stones may polish better by working the slurry until it is dry. If you have problems polishing try going wet to dry.
6. Once the shine is achieved rinse the area with water and dry with a clean cloth.

2 of 5 etch remover didn't work January 26, 2023
Reviewer: Ruth Brooks from Toronto, ontario Canada
Hi
I have some etching on my marble bathroom cointertop that looks like splashes and bottom of a container.

I did put some sealer on it a couple of weeks ago however the etch remover did not seem to help. Any suggestions?

5 of 5 Amazing product December 20, 2018
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Lakeville, MN United States
I had two palm size areas in our guest bathroom marble counter top which had lost the shine,  presumably from a product one of our guests had used. These areas were very noticeable. I was able to completely restore the marble in these areas to its original shine, very easily, using this product. I didn’t even have to polish for long. Great product.
